We build plenty of flexibility into every session for snack breaks, naps, diaper changes, and little pauses whenever they’re needed. Children are wonderfully unpredictable, and we never rush the process. We simply move at their pace, creating a relaxed environment where genuine smiles and authentic moments can naturally unfold.

BYOC!!! Bring your own cake for the session! We recommend avoiding chocolate and red velvet, as those darker colors don't photograph as well. Vanilla, white, pastel-colored frosting, or brightly decorated cakes typically create the most visually appealing images. Yes! You're welcome to include your pets in your cakesmash session. As long as your pets are comfortable around new people and well-behaved, they’re more than welcome to be part of your session. Dogs are generally easier to photograph than cats, but we’re always happy to do our best to include your furry family members in a beautiful and meaningful way.

We can include a variety of settings including indoor studio looks, and local gardens — each offering its own unique backdrop, from sophisticated editorial styling to soft, natural outdoor beauty.

Yes, of course! We will have our assistant there to support you in whatever way is needed throughout your cakesmash session. However, if you feel it would be helpful, you’re also welcome to bring a sister, nanny, grandparent, or friend to help make the experience even more comfortable for you and your family.

A non-refundable $125 deposit is required to secure your cakesmash session date and is applied toward your session fee. Because we book a limited number of sessions each month and often reserve dates well in advance, this deposit allows us to hold dedicated time specifically for your family.

We understand that life happens and strive to be as flexible as possible. Whenever availability allows, we are happy to accommodate reasonable reschedule requests.

Your cakesmash session fee reserves your date and includes your personalized planning consultation, access to our wardrobe collections, use of studio props and accessories, custom set design, and everything on the day of your portrait session experience.

While in studio you will have a photographer, an assistant, and your own private dressing room.

Your cakesmash session fee covers everything on the day of your shoot. Photo Packages are purchased separately after your session, once you’ve viewed and selected your favorite images.
